25th September, 2009 marks the launch of a muti-faceted idea of just one woman.
For Julia Kelly, visiting Nepal was more of a calling than a curiosity that had to be examined. It most definitely was not a 'tourist's adventure'.
"
Any tourist who can walk the streets of Nepal and not truly 'see' what is in front of them is blind to life, they are poorer for their time there
".
With her husband's support and the encouragement of friends, she answered the spiritual call that has been with her all of her life and found her purpose in the world.
"
Ideas start in the head, but until the heart is engaged there is no motivation, without motivation there is no action."
In just six short months just one person has made a difference, to her own life and the lives of those around her. She is not an extraordinary person, just tenacious and who after spending 5 weeks in Nepal realised that to not act on what she had seen would be a true crime against humanity, as a practicing Buddhist this was not a choice, not a decision, her life now belonged to those who call.

"This web page and the content in it, is just one seed, one idea, that when put out into the universe may be seen by many, may land anywhere and if cared for can grow into a great big tree, bearing fruit and flowers, providing protection from rain and sun, and when it is big enough, maybe even hold a cubby house! Let's all take care of the little seeds, they represent not only the seeds of ideas, but each and every child and adult helped is a seed that when cared for can grow healthier, happier and stronger".
"For the author and founder of these pages, not to put passion and emotion behind the choice of words used in her observations would at this stage be impossible. It is these same emotions that are at the heart of the many many hours taken to put this project and this web page together. However the observations are not judgements by any means. Each act of a human being is based on more than that individual moment, and so it is the act that may or may not be condoned not the person. We each and every one us suffer in accordance with our actions, we can rejoice in the suffering and become wiser for it or we can become full of self pity and apathy and waste our precious human life. There are many things in life that cannot be changed, that is true, but it is how we respond to these external influences that make the person, that much at least we can control".

"To say that a persons' intentions were good and allow that statement to be used as an excuse for not taking responsibility for the result is foolishness". But there are those who will seek offence in any good and for those prayers are given for early release from your suffering, that you may truly see all the glorious joys our precious human life gives us through opportunity and choice".
Compassion in Action
"Compassion without action is more like observation with apathy... it serves little purpose. There is a lot of action going to be happening on behalf of many here at LSP".
There are two facets of The Little Seeds Project (LSP).
As an Event Manager as well as wife, mother, researcher, volunteer, grandmother, home keeper, Dharma student, I also donate funds from our savings. So if you are looking for a way to fundraise or you would like to hold an event and need some help with the planning you can reach me : HERE
The second but most important part of the FLSP is "The Friends of The Little Seeds Project". Here is where the work really happens. FLSP researches organisations with like minded goals and aims to tap into, after all there is no point to reinventing the wheel. The purpose of FLSP is not to sponsor children one on one, but to look for community or small group projects that can be funded to assist many.
Since starting to surf the web of possibilities there were a couple of decisions that needed to be made, the first being the order of priority and careful selection. After all is it better to do some things well than try to do all things poorly, even if the intention was there.
So we have selected a few projects of our own to sponsor on an ongoing basis and a few that we will help where we can and promote. This information is available on this web site in detail.
The blessings that have followed our research has surpassed expectations, not that we had many to start with!
We are now liaising with Community Groups, Musicians, Monasteries/Nunneries, Suppliers, Schools, Local Govt Offices, Nepali Businesses and Banks and in the process (long as it is) of securing our very own Committee. If you or your business are interested in participating, corporate funding, holding a fundraising event, or would like to be involved in other events or projects, please do not hesitate to contact us directly HERE
There are lots of very exciting things planned, including another trip to Nepal around December 2012. Without regular trips, we cannot hope to ensure the money is being invested as the donors wished. Relationships with communities and businesses may deteriorate and of course the children will think Aama has forgotten them. Not possible.
For the projects to be funded we need your support, your compassion, your motivation, your action. We need your new awareness to be shared so that your little seeds may grow too. One way of assisting with this is via FACEBOOK
,
where we have a 'Cause' you can join and share the information.
Donations, Skill Sharing, Volunteering and Cheer Squad are all acts of compassion and greatly appreciated.

“Dalai Lama Renaissance” & “A Revolution of Ideas” was shown in Albany, Western Australia for the first time in December 2010. It was also shown in Perth at the Luna Cinema in Subiaco by the Hayagriva Centre. A huge success with a full house, how wonderful. An inspriational event with much interest generated or should I say reignighted in the region. Wonderful....
A huge thank you to all involved and of course to Kashyar for his tireless efforts to share HH The Dalai Lamas message with the world.
We hope the 2012 tour of Europe will also be sucessful.

What an amazing experience!!!
Mahamudra Centre for Universal Unity is a charitable trust and a member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) - an international organization which has over 150 centres, hospices and projects worldwide.
The purpose of an FPMT centre is to offer the timeless wisdom and methods of Buddhism as a means to attain the highest human and spiritual potential, especially those taught by the great 15th century Tibetan teacher and meditator, Lama Tzong Khapa.
These methods act as antidotes to our everyday experiences of anxiety, fear and agitation and help to create instead, experiences of joy, compassion and understanding, not only for oneself but for everyone.
There are many projects that require assistance at the Centre, if you can help in any way, or wish to find out more about the Retreats, Programs or more, please go directly to the website
